Embracing the Future: myOrthos Welcomes Dr. Sal Manente as Chief Clinical Officer
BOSTON, MA. (April 25, 2024)- myOrthos, a leading orthodontic support organization (OSO), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sal Manente as Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), a new role to provide a clinical voice to the company's strategic direction and accelerate growth in the coming years.
Dr. Manente, a founding doctor of myOrthos in 2020 and 25-year veteran orthodontist currently practicing in his Manente Orthodontics location in Niagara Falls, NY, brings a wealth of clinical experience and leadership to myOrthos, further enhancing the company's commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing orthodontic solutions. "I am dedicated to driving patient-centered innovation and fostering a culture of excellence that ensures every individual receives the highest standard of orthodontic care," stated Dr. Manente. Actively involved in various societies and associations, Dr. Manente served as president of the New York State Society of Orthodontists (NYSSO) and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO). In addition, Dr. Manente created and is a founding member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) Future Think Tank and various councils and committees.
Dr. Manente joins myOrthos executives John Heller, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Bob Teixeira, President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), both coming to myOrthos in 2023 after distinguished roles in the healthcare sector.
John Heller, Chief Executive Officer, is a proven healthcare entrepreneur, having served in leadership roles at a number of successful start-ups. Most recently, he founded and was CEO of HealthPRO Heritage, a company Mr. Heller led for 17 years, growing it from a $9 million healthcare organization into a $550 million national contract therapy provider. In this position, John led the company's expansion into hospitals, long-term care, senior living, home health, and pediatric locations across 43 states. Before that, he was CEO of Housecall Medical, a hospice and homecare provider, and President of Integrated Health Services, a national operator of skilled nursing facilities. "I am honored to lead myOrthos into a new era of innovation and support our doctors in their commitment to excellence and patient-centered orthodontic care,” said Heller.
Bob Teixeira, a proven leader with a track record in financial management and strategic planning, has served as myOrthos President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since the Spring of 2023. Before joining myOrthos, Mr. Teixeira was the Chief Financial Offer at CVS Health and MyEyeDr. While at MyEyeDr, Bob was instrumental in tripling the company's earnings to
1 billion dollars and expanding practice locations from 320 to 850. "I have been at myOrthos for a year, and I remain honored to be part of a team dedicated to revolutionizing orthodontics.
